United Kingdom, Russia ice ball diplomats in spy spar

LONDON - United Kingdom distributed a Russian diplomat and a Briton distributed Russia in the latest skirmish in a long-running spat over spying.

Foreign Secretary William Hague said on Tuesday that withdraw asked United Kingdom of the Russian Embassy in London, a staff member on Dec. 10 in response to evidence of activity by the Russian secret services against UK interests to "disable."

He said Russia, on the other hand, a diplomat expelled from the British Embassy in Moscow.

The Russian Foreign Ministry and the Kremlin refused to comment.

U.k.-Russia relations sour after the 2006 poisoning death in London of the former Russian agent Alexander Litvinenko. Russia refused to extradite Britain's main suspect in the case of former KGB officer Andrei Lugowoj.
