Think it over - BBC News

2 December 2010 last updated at 18: 32 pm Laura Kuenssberg Laura Kuenssberg Chief political correspondent, BBC news channel are Nick Clegg and passionately defended Vince cable that really helping plan to a plan to the public at every turn? Even while on Government business in Kazakhstan, took the Deputy Prime Minister time again explain that he thinks the proposals would promise to his party break and tuition fees to increase "better, progressive and fairer" as the existing system.

Subject Wednesday Vince cable to readily even dressing to below of the TV cameras, by a group of London to be seen to explain sixth film formers, and to defend the policy.

But a day later, Nick Clegg point he still attempted with his party, a "collective" to find location, increase made again the prospect that he and other Cabinet Ministers could abstain.

Shifting sands

Really? Well in the past have ten days since we first reported the idea that Ministers included may be shifted things behind the scenes.

Lib Dem leader Nick CleggNick Clegg wants the number of its members to restrict against the fees rise votes

The idea of leadership was - abstention as an olive branch to offer, and in turn, more camp abstaining from fees refuseniks could join.

Ministers share the pain, destruction of traditional government rules of collective responsibility in return for your MP colleagues to risk the wrath of ingredients made a promise.

Sure Minister risked parody for plans back up their own Government, but at least the party would have more or less with no big break faith with its coalition partner plug.

And as far as the party concerned to remember, conservation coalition agreement has to be a priority.

But with just one week before the decisive Commons vote go, the idea of this plan seems coming off now increasingly unrealistic.

View of the Minister backbencher pain does the number of potential rebels from potentially more than twenty-a handy dozen or so.

Hardcore rebels

But a hardcore dug the House of Commons. And with that the chances of the Minister of the voice fades quickly. Whatever Nick Clegg and Vince are cable in public about the possibility that say Lib Dems able to keep together, seems their tactics to achieve not worked.

Pretend the smart money in Westminster on each lib the Cabinet is Minister of the proposals, votes and a clutch of others ready to this.

The most Backbenchers are then abstain and then a dozen or so "no" vote.

This will be no scenario that just loves the lead, but it is a situation which could tolerate.

Things though certainly not static. Some members have not decided and the leadership is still formally refusing to show his hand.

Party bosses still work and night, when course on the plane back from Kazakhstan, numbers of "no" voters fall further, or at least to keep where you are.

But the cunning plan for the Lib Dems to act can more or less as one seems to have had its day.

Here is a list of Lib Dem MPs, based on BBC vote against the fee rise research which either confirmed or specified, you can do.
