MP Nigel Evans comes as gay - BBC News

Rhondda MP Chris Bryant, who is also gay, welcomes the decision.

Gay rights charity Stonewall, the establishment ParliOut helped Mr. Evans has welcomed decision.

It means that the number is the openly gay member of Commons 22, with more than a half of Tories.

Mr Evans was born in Swansea, graduate policy from the City University joined College and the Conservatives when he was 17.

Member of the former West Glamorgan County Council from 1985 to 1991, he ran West unsuccessfully for Parliament in Swansea in 1987, Pontypridd 1989 and Ribble Valley in 1991. He won Ribble Valley in the general election in the following year.
