Ivory Coast President Toughens stance

The President of Côte d'Ivoire said on Tuesday that his Government would cut diplomatic relations with countries which issued to follow a call to his opponent for the removal of the Ambassador.

Came the announcement, read's on national television by a member of the established Laurent Gbagbo Government, on the same day political stalemate between Mr. Gbagbo and his rival Alassane Ouattara break three west African heads of State and Government in the Ivory Coast in an attempt to a monthlong arrived.

The United Nations Mission in Côte d'Ivoire said it "strongly condemns the attack and reaffirms its determination to continue its work in the service of the Ivorian people."

The UN Special Representative in the Ivory Coast also met with the three visiting President on Tuesday. The UN certified election results and Mr Ouattara secures.
