Germany signs 2018 games deal

Financial signed the Federal Government and the regional authorities and further guarantees necessary for Munich's bid Winter Olympics 2018 Wednesday to host.

Chancellor Angela Merkel said Munich law of "national interest" and will continue to receive support despite a group of 59 landowners who say, you would not place your country for Olympic venues.

The guarantees are part of the official offer books of that Munich has to present the International Olympic Council of Jan. 11.

The list of 47 guarantees extend infrastructure projects, such as building Olympic villages, as well as the IOC marketing give to watch special rights and doping laws.

The Government also staging backed up the ice events in Munich and ski events around Garmisch-Partenkirchen, 90 minutes away by train.

On Tuesday, a group of 59 Bavarian farmers and landowners said it would refuse to turn over land for Alpine skiing and demanded Munich drop its offerings for the games. A lawyer for the group without being approved who said farmers should be changed to the course for the showcase downhill event.

Munich is competition for the games 2018 with Annecy, France; PyeongChang, South Korea. The IOC selects the host city on July 6 in Durban, South Africa.
