It has the right five years since gay couples got legal 'Mi'.

The first civil partnership instead of the 5th of December 2005. Since then thousands of same-sex couples have the node you the same rights as other married couples bound.

Over 6,000 partnerships were in the UK last year 24 male and 34 female couples, down the Ganges in Lincolnshire included.

David is the Chairman of the Pinklincs lesbian gay bisexual and transgender trust and he remembers when granted the right for civil partnerships: "I think it was surprise, euphoria, and I can remember in my life that will never happen..." "So yes I believe it was euphoria five years ago and I think we have really felt since then we have come a long way."
