TEHRAN, Iran - Iranian security made a number of arrests in the case of the murder of a prominent nuclear scientist of country intelligence chief said Thursday.
Intelligence Minister Heiðar Moslehi said the arrests have given Iranian secret services "new information" about the people involved the deadly attacks which blames it on Western intelligence.
According to the Iranian authorities attached attacker on motorcycles drove magnetized bombs to the cars of two nuclear scientists like you in Tehran Monday, work killed in one and the other wounded.
Iran says the attacks are part of a covert campaign by Israel and the West to sabotage its nuclear program to suspect the United States and its allies aimed at the production of nuclear weapons - something Iran denies.
Officials say campaign includes the abduction of Iranian scientists, the sale of faulty equipment and planting a destructive worm known as Stuxnet, briefly halted last month brought Iran's uranium enrichment activity.
"A number of people were identified and arrested in connection with the two terrorist attacks," said Mr Moslehi depending on State TV website. He has not specified how many were arrested.
Mr Moslehi accused the Israeli Mossad spy agency, Britain's MI6 and the CIA of involvement in the attacks, and added that the assassination affect Iran's nuclear program is not. "The enemy must know that it get anywhere with such acts," he said.
