Based on Mitigation Center monitoring of Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation (PVMBG), there were 21 active volcanoes in the condition that its security status is not normal, 18 volcano alert status, 2 volcano standby status , and one volcano warning status.

According to excerpts from the AFP, Chief of Sub Division Volcano Observation of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (EMR) Agus Budianto, Friday (29/10), to name the alert status of Mount which, Mount Kerinci in Jambi, Mount Talang in West Sumatra, Mount Anak Krakatau in Lampung, West Java volcano, Mount Dieng in Central Java, Mount Slamet in Central Java, Mount Rinjani in Flores, Mount Bromo in East Java, Mount Rokatenda in Flores, Mount Soputan in Minahasa, Mt Dukuno in Halmahera, and Mount Gamalama in Ternate.
While the mountain is Mount Karangetang standby status in North Sulawesi and Mount Ibu in West Halmahera, North Maluku. One volcano warning status of Mount Merapi retained by the Sleman, Yogyakarta.
